I am writing this letter to convey my deepest apologies to you, and your family, for the malicious and defamatory statements I made about you in articles on my website omegamilitaryconsultant.com. When I posted the articles about you, which falsely accused you of kidnapping, money laundering, arms dealing, and drug dealing, I did so without ever investigating the veracity of those accusations.
I acknowledge that if I had done even the most cursory investigation into the allegations I made, that I would have discovered their falsity. I now realize that before I published those defamatory articles, that Magistrate Judge Jean Peres Paul of Magistrate Court of Port-au-Prince issued an official order in June, 2008 exonerating you from any criminal wrongdoing, and expressly finding you innocent of and dismissing all charges against you. I also now realize that on July 15, 2009, a criminal complaint was filed against me in Haiti for defamation as a result of the defamatory articles I posted about you on omegamilitaryconsultant.com.
Finally, I also want to apologize for the misstatements I have made to you and others regarding my background. I acknowledge that I do not have any formal training and do not hold any licenses for military training, security training, or for providing security to heads of state. I also acknowledge that I am in no way affiliated with United States State Department or the White House. I know my defamatory statements have caused you and your family great emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, as well as permanent damage to your personal and business reputation: and for that I am especially sorry.
